My First Stab at Character Generation (Part 3)

Since I essentially broke down the character generation pretty hard when I started showing statistics and how we get the numbers, but I thought that it might be time for me to go ahead and take all the character generation material and put it together in one nice tidy package of a post, so you don't have to go fishing through 7 posts just to figure out what's going on.

So here's what we have so far:

Step 1: Pick a race (this gives ability bonuses):
- Dwarf
  - +1 Curiosity or Bravery, -1 Faith or Guile
- Elf
  - +1 Passion or Determination, -1 Bravery or Faith
- Orc
  - +1 Passion or Bravery, -1 Guile or Curiosity
- Gnome
  - +1 Determination or Curiosity, -1 Passion or Bravery
- Halfling
  - +1 Guile or Faith, -1 Bravery or Determination
- Construct
  - +1 Bravery or Curiosity, -1 Guile or Passion
- Half-Angel
  - +1 Faith or Passion, -1 Guile or Curiosity
- Half-Devil
  - +1 Determination or Guile, -1 Faith or Curiosity
- Half-Dragon
  - +1 Bravery or Guile, -1 Faith or Curiosity
- Half-Elf
  - +1 Passion or Guile, -1 Bravery or Faith
- Changeling
  - +1 Guile or Curiosity, -1 Passion or Faith
- More races as need be.

Step 2: Pick an Upbringing (this determines certain skills and abilities, to be discussed later)
- Farm Raised
- City Raised
- Necropolis Raised
- Nomad
- Elven City
- Dwarf City
- Elven Wilderness
- Tribe/Fringe Society
- Gnome City
- Halfling City
- Celestial City
- Infernal City
- Cave
- Created
- More as need be

Step 3: Choose Class (To be determined at a later time, but throwing out some examples)
 - Wizard - Determination based
 - Cleric - Faith based
 - Druid - Passion based
 - Fighter - Bravery based
 - Alchemist - Curiosity based
 - Rogue - Guile based
 - Now we can start combining the things and make crossover characters
 - Bard - Guile and Passion user
 - Ranger - Curiosity and Bravery user
 - Viking/Barbarian - Passion and Bravery user
 - Crusader - Bravery and Faith user
 - Sorcerer - Determination and Guile user
 - Monk - Faith and Curiosity user
 - More as need be

Step 4: Point buy for ability scores (Because frankly, no one likes rolling)
- 36 points, put into six stats
  - Determination
  - Faith
  - Passion
  - Bravery
  - Guile
  - Curiosity
Remember also to add the points from the chose race to the final total (should be +1 -1)

Step 5: Fill in the holes
- Defenses - AC, BODY, MIND, and SOUL saves
- Skills - +3 for class skill, +1 for regular skill

Step 6: Pick Equipment

Step 7: Select Magic

Step 8: Back story (Optional)

Step 9: Draw your starting card from the deck

And there we go, 9 steps grand total (technically 8 without the back story stuff) and then if they don't have magic, it will be just 7 steps.  Not too terrible for character creation, but maybe we could cut it down a bit more ... I'll see if I can come up with something.
