Cards come in sheets of 110, so plan accordingly
cards are easy to sell and make a nice premium offering
cards can be used for:
powers
effects
rules
minigame
social rpg light (Cards against humanity)
deckbuilding
dungoenbuilding
worldbuilding
adventure building
encounter building
campaign building
My thoughts on cards would be something along the lines of Gamma World. You start the game with 1 or 2, and after every successful encounter (decided by the group), you draw a new one.
ReplyDeleteInstead of "leveling" as we know it, per chance we could have the leveling determine how many cards affect your character. At level 1 only 1-2 cards can be active, but at level 5 you can have 6-7 active.
You also can hold the cards in your hand and switch out cards as a "swift" action, or whatever we're calling it, maybe.
Also on the card, give the character choices (2-3 options) so that when he plays the card, it will have something to benefit him, no matter what class he is (be it fighter, mage, rogue, support, etc.). Those are my thoughts on it at least.
