Character Creation Part 4 (This Time with Hyperlinks!!)

Alright, in my attempt to clean up the blog, I've decided to make one uber post that essentially sums up all character generation and links to all the other posts, so that way, people can easily participate in character generation.  Hopefully this will allow the playtest to get underway faster and will also show the ease of use our website will potentially have.

Okay then, let's break it down.

And remember, if there's ever a decimal number for any stat, we always round down.

Step 1: Pick a Race

Step 2: Pick an Upbringing

Step 3: Choose a Class
- Ranger
- Warrior
- Alchemist
- Martyr
- Wizard/Warlock/Mage
- Explorer
- Trickster
- Knight
- Berserker
- Scoundrel
More to come...

Step 4: Point Buy Ability Scores
- 6 scores: Ambition, Curiosity, Faith, Passion, Bravery, and Guile
- 36 Points assigned however you like
- Remember, if a race other than human, you get +1 to any score, and -1 to any other score

Step 5: Fill in holes
- Defenses
  - For BODY - take average of Passion + Guile + Bravery
  - For SOUL - take average of Ambition + Faith + Curiosity
  - HP: 25 unless otherwise noted (for instance Warrior and Knight)
  - Initiative - take average of Passion + Bravery
  - Attack Power - Bravery or Passion or Guile (Whichever is highest)

Step 6: Select Equipment
Note: Equipment can be anything you want it to be, within reason.  So be creative.
  - Armor
    - Light Armor - +1 to BODY
    - Shield - +1 to BODY but cannot use 2-handed weapons
    - Heavy Armor - +2 to BODY
  - Mind Protection
    - Symbol of Faith/Belief - +2 to MIND
    - Something Treasured - +1 to MIND
  - Weapons
    - 1 Handed Light Weapon - 1d6 damage
    - 1 Handed Heavy - 2d6 damage
    - 2 Handed Heavy - 2d6 + Bravery
    - Thrown Ranged - 1d6
    - Trained Ranged (Bow, Gun, etc.) - 2d6

Step 7: Select Magic (If Applicable)

Step 8: Backstory (Optional)

Step 9: Character Goals (Not Optional)
  - On a notecard write three things that your CHARACTER wants to accomplish, or three things that you as a PLAYER would like to see in game/want to have your character accomplish.  Examples inclue: face a dragon, save a princess, start a business, kill a villain from the past, etc., etc.  They can be as simple or complex as you like, but try to make  them interesting and enjoyable.
  - After you have done three such cards, place them facedown, the player on your left selects one.
  - For the rest of the game, players work to accomplish the things listed on the cards during the session.
  - If they are not accomplished in this particular session, keep the card, the goal will carry over to next session.

Step 10: Receive Story Cards
Note: Here it says "Story Dice" but they'll be cards from now on.  Just haven't gotten around to updating it.

Step 11: Play
